What Materials are the Steel Shelters Made From?
Our steel shelters are crafted using 1.5mm cold-rolled galvanised steel. This material is both robust and durable, ensuring your shelter remains sturdy and reliable for years to come.

What Colour Options are Available for the Shelters?
We offer our steel shelters in Juniper Green, this is our most popular and readily available colour. Juniper Green is a natural, earthy tone which blends seamlessly with outdoor environments, making it a great choice for any setting.
If you require a different colour, please get in touch and we will aim to accommodate your preference. However, please be aware this may extend the delivery time due to the availability of materials.

Can I Customise the Size of the Shelters?
At this time, we only offer the shelter sizes listed on our website. These sizes have been chosen on our most common customer needs and for the structure of the design. Our steel shelter sizes allow us to maintain the highest standards of quality.

Are Doors Available for the Shelters?
Our steel shelters are designed to be open fronted (field shelters) or gable open ended (pitched shelters). Unfortunately, we do not offer doors as an option for these shelters.

Do I Need to Secure the Shelter to a Concrete Floor?
Yes, it is important to bolt the shelter down to a concrete floor or concrete pads, this ensures stability and safety. The necessary bolts are included with your shelter so you wont need to source them separately.
Our field shelters also offer an option skid feature. This allows you to easily relocate your shelter without compromising its stability.

Is Delivery Available?
Yes, we provide a delivery service for our shelters. During the ordering process, you can arrange for delivery directly to your site.
If you prefer, you can also collect your shelter from our workshop in Derby. Please contact us in advance to schedule a pick up time.

How Soon Can I Receive my Shelter?
We understand that timing is important when it comes to setting up your shelter. Currently our lead time from order placement to delivery is approximately two weeks. This time frame allows us to prepare your shelter with the highest level of care and attention to detail.

How are the Shelters Delivered?
The shelters are securely packaged and delivered on large pallets, ensuring everything is protected during transit. The standard pallet size is 1.5 metres by 3.5 metres, with a starting weight of 750 kilograms. Our delivery process is designed to minimise the risk of damage and makes the unloading process as straightforward as possible.

How Should I Unload the Shelters Upon Delivery?
To safely unload your shelter upon delivery, you will need access to off-loading equipment. For example a forklift or a tractor are great for unloading. If you have any concerns about the unloading process, get in touch with our team for advice before your delivery.

Do you Offer Installation Services?
We currently do not offer an installation service for our shelters. However, each shelter comes with a comprehensive set of instructions. They include detailed drawings and step-by-step guidelines.
Additionally, we are available by phone to answer any questions or provide further guidance during the installation process.

Can I Install the Shelter Myself?
Yes, you can install your shelter yourself. However, it is important to have a team of at least three people to help install your shelter. The process does not require any previous construction experience. Our instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Will I need Specialised Lifting Equipment for Installation?
One of the key advantages of our steel shelters is they do not require any specialised lifting equipment for installation. The components are designed to be manageable with basic tools, making the installation process accessible to a wider range of customers.
This ease of installation is one of the reasons our shelters are popular, they are both durable and user friendly.

What Tools are Needed for Installation?
To install your shelter, you will need the following tools:
- Spirit level: Ensures your shelter is level and properly aligned during installation.
- Spanner: Necessary for tightening bolts and securing components.
- Ratchet: Helps with tightening bolts and screws.
- Variable speed drill: Useful for drilling holes and driving screws quickly.
- Drill adaptor: Provided with the shelter to assist in installing cladding screws.
- Hammer drill: Required to fix the bolts into the concrete base securely.
- Grinder: May be needed to trim sheets on the gable end, ensuring a perfect fit.
