This website is operated by Steel Shelters Direct. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Steel Shelters Direct. Steel Shelters Direct offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms and Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms and Conditions.

Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. You can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Buying/Ordering Products

You are deemed to have placed an order with us by ordering online via our online checkout process, or by placing an order over the telephone. As part of the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement detailing the products you have ordered. This will be done by e-mail.

We will accept your order when we confirm the order by e-mail.

Resolution of screens can vary so we cannot guarantee that the colour of the product you see on the screen will be identical to what is delivered.

Once the order is accepted the contract is formed, however we may still refuse to accept your order after confirmation where:

  • The product is unavailable
  • There is a problem with the payment
  • A product has a description error
  • Delivery is to a location that logistically is impossible and without further discussions we cannot commit to the order
  • Additional costs for delivery are applicable but have not been paid
  • An error has occurred – whereby we have under priced an item. We will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price. We will notify you of this straight away. In those circumstances, we will also notify you of the correct price, so that you may decide whether or not you wish to continue with the purchase. If you decide not to order the goods, we will give you a full refund on any amount paid.

Delivery

The courier will park as close as possible to the delivery address given but responsibility of the unloading of the shelters is by the customer.

Prior arrangement for offloading will be required. If no offloading facilities are available upon delivery or access is restricted then we reserve the right to treat this as a failed delivery and additional costs will be incurred. Same if a delivery is refused. Additional costs will be incurred to arrange re-delivery. Steel Buildings Direct will not be held liable for loss of earnings due to failed delivery.

Drivers are not insured to enter customer’s property to assist with delivery.

For offshore or remote deliveries please contact the office on 01283 735522 prior to purchase to ensure we can arrange this.

Collection is also welcome – this must be arranged with the office 01283 735522

If ordering out of office hours (which are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm), please take the next office day as the start time for any delivery time estimates.

By agreeing with these terms and conditions you agree to any additional delivery costs such as offshore or remote postcodes. Any additional costs will be presented to the customer and they can either continue with the sale or cancel at this point. If an online order is placed and additional costs need to be verified we will place the order on hold and the customer contacted to agree to these costs.

Prices & Payment

All prices stated on our website are in GBP. The price stated does not include delivery or VAT. This will all be added on at the check out stage.

We regularly review our prices and reserve the right to amend these on our website as and when required.

All products must be paid for prior to any delivery being arranged. By providing us with credit or debit card details to pay for an order, you are confirming that the card you are using is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.

Payment will be taken online at the checkout. We do not take payments over the telephone.

We aim to deliver within 10-14 days. If this is not possible or can be done sooner prior notice will be given. Customers will be given prior notice of an expected date for delivery. These are estimated delivery expectations however we endeavour to deliver within the time frame above. No compensation or liability is held for not being able to deliver within the expected time frame.

If we discover an error with the price of the goods we will inform the customer as soon as possible and they can then either be fully refunded or reconfirm the order at the correct price.

Order Acknowledgement

Once we receive your order we will send out an acknowledgement of this via e-mail. This will include an order number, your contact details including the delivery address and an estimated delivery date. Once we have confirmation of an exact delivery date we will make contact with the customer to let them know.

Returns

If for some reason you are not happy with the product or something is damaged then please contact the office 01283 735522, email sales@steelsheltersdirect.co.uk or write to our registered address to enable us to rectify this.

You have the right to cancel within 7 days of your contract with us or 7 days after the receipt of goods. If returning after delivery then the product must be returned un-used and in the original packaging. The products will be required to be returned to our requested address at the customers cost.

If you are canceling your order because of a problem with the goods, please let us know immediately what the nature of the problem is so we can make arrangements for the return and/or exchange. Please keep all the original packaging.

Please note that by signing the delivery note you are accepting the goods in good condition and take on the personal responsibility of the delivery and order.

Limitation of Liability

If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us within 2 working days of the delivery of the goods in question if you have signed and accepted the product you are liable for the product and may not qualify for a refund.

This web site, any content contained herein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this web site are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English.

Only the parties to these terms and conditions may seek to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Any disclaimers and exclusions of liability in these Conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by our negligence of (or any of their employees or agents) or fraud. Any disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
